Scripture: Mark 3:6-35
The love of Jesus forms a new family with a love for Jesus. The family Jesus forms is determined not by our preferences but by his call. Mark contrasts those who believe they have a claim to Jesus with the true followers, who recognize Jesus has a claim on them. Those who assume that they are close to Jesus should think again; those who assume that they are far from him should be hopeful.
